Our Story
Who?
We are Douglas County Partners for Student Success!
DCPSS was initiated with funding from The Oregon Community Foundation as a result of an initial partnership between the Greater Douglas United Way, The Partnership for Economic Development in Douglas County, The Ford Family Foundation, Douglas ESD and Umpqua Community College.
What?
We envision a future where …
Each child in Douglas County will receive effective and meaningful support to achieve economic and social success by graduating high school, completing post–secondary education and/or entering a career.
DCPSS exists to facilitate the transformation of the way we work together collectively to accomplish common goals.
Why?
Data indicates that …
Of 100 students in Douglas County, 67 will graduate high school, 39 of those 67 graduates will begin college and less than 20 will end up with a degree or community college credential.

How?
We plan to move from isolation to Collective Impact
All communities in Douglas County have a variety of programs that serve our children at various points in their lives. Generally, these programs are not organized around a similar set of data or a shared commitment to work together to define the goals, actions, and outcomes and shared accountability.
